Artist Biography

Jen Harrison

Welcome to my portfolio. I’m Jen Harrison, the textile artist behind Beachin Sheets. Guided by a deep understanding of color, texture and textile process, I create one-of-a-kind and bespoke works designed to elevate distinctive interiors. Every piece is made entirely by hand to bring presence, movement and a sense of story to the space it inhabits.

The Work

A language built in fiber and dye.

Over more than two decades, I have learned how different natural fibers receive, resist and carry dye—and how thread count, weave density, tension, folding, saturation and movement can be deliberately manipulated to shape the final image. These are not accidental patterns. Through a precise understanding of material and process, I create faces, figures and layered forms within the fibers themselves.

The resulting works hold an intentional duality. They are visually powerful enough to command attention and create intrigue, yet balanced enough to bring calm and invite prolonged contemplation. Some pieces have been used as focal points for meditation; others have transformed stages as backdrops for musicians, moved through the world as wearable art or become large-scale works for residential and commercial interiors.

My fine-art practice is an evolution of everything I have learned through years of working across natural fibers and formats. Each piece brings technical control, intuition and composition together at a larger scale—creating original textile art that carries presence from across a room and continues revealing detail when viewed up close.

From my Central Texas studio, I create one-of-a-kind wall works and bespoke commissions shaped around a client’s space, palette, scale and intended atmosphere. Beginning at the end of September 2026, selected Beachin Sheets works will also be available to view in person at Allen’s Alley in Luling, Texas.
